The focus is on understanding your business, recognizing opportunities, making informed decisions, and implementing strategies that fit your goals and circumstances.

What You'll Learn

1. The Five Senses of Holistic Business

A signature framework for understanding how the marketplace experiences your business

Your business communicates value through more than its products or services. How people encounter it, what they hear about it, and what they experience when they engage with it all shape how they understand and remember your brand.

In this course, you'll learn to evaluate your business through Professor Brown's Five Senses of Holistic Business framework, and to use what it reveals to strengthen your business.

In this course

  • –How the framework works and why it changes the way you look at your business.
  • –How to apply it to your own business and audit what it uncovers.
  • –How to turn what it reveals into concrete improvements.

The five senses themselves are taught inside the course, where you'll apply them directly to your own business.

2.

Revenue Growth and Offer Expansion

Find new opportunities within the business you've already built

  • –Refining existing products, services, and signature offers.
  • –Exploring additional revenue streams, bundles, and premium offerings.
  • –Identifying opportunities for repeat sales and customer retention.
  • –Evaluating which growth opportunities make sense for your audience and business.
  • –Recognizing ways to increase earning potential while being intentional about your time and resources.
3.

Audience Building and Sales Conversion

Turn attention into trust and trust into sales

  • –Building an audience that connects with your brand.
  • –Developing content and messaging that communicate your value.
  • –Improving sales conversations, calls to action, and conversion strategies.
  • –Exploring launches, live selling, email marketing, and other relevant sales channels.
  • –Understanding the difference between audience attention and buying intent.
4.

Pricing, Profitability, and Financial Clarity

Understand the numbers behind a sustainable business

  • –Developing pricing strategies that support your business goals.
  • –Understanding costs, profit margins, revenue targets, and cash flow.
  • –Evaluating which products and services are financially worthwhile.
  • –Distinguishing revenue from profit.
  • –Connecting financial decisions to long-term business sustainability.
5.

Prosperity Without Apology

Aligning purpose, pricing, and profit

For many entrepreneurs in wellness, herbalism, and spiritually rooted fields, the desire to serve can become tangled with guilt about charging for their knowledge, labor, products, and expertise. This learning experience invites you to examine those beliefs and build a healthier, more intentional relationship with the financial side of your work.

  • –Releasing shame and guilt around earning money.
  • –Separating service to others from self-sacrifice.
  • –Learning to charge fairly and confidently for your expertise and labor.
  • –Understanding why a business must be financially sustainable to continue serving its community.
  • –Making intentional decisions about scholarships, community pricing, and giving without allowing guilt to dictate every price.
  • –Building a profitable business without compromising your values.

You should not have to choose between honoring your purpose and building a profitable business.

6.

The Power of Personal Value

Know what you bring to the table — and learn how to communicate it

This course walks you through a guided process for understanding what you uniquely bring to your business and learning to communicate it effectively.

  • –Understanding your strengths, experience, and perspective — and what they're worth.
  • –Presenting your accomplishments and offers with confidence.
  • –Applying your personal value to how you market, connect with customers, and sell.

You don't have to imitate another entrepreneur to become successful. You need to understand what you uniquely bring to the marketplace and learn how to communicate it effectively.

7.

Systems, Operations, and Sustainable Growth

Build a business that can grow without everything depending on you

  • –Streamlining workflows and customer management.
  • –Using technology and automation to reduce repetitive work.
  • –Improving fulfillment and service delivery.
  • –Recognizing when it may be time to delegate, outsource, or hire.
  • –Building operational capacity to support increased demand.
  • –Moving away from being the person responsible for every task.
8.

The Entrepreneurial Mindset and Decision-Making

Develop the judgment to lead your next stage of growth

  • –Identifying bottlenecks and deciding what deserves your attention.
  • –Making strategic decisions instead of reacting to every challenge.
  • –Evaluating risks and opportunities.
  • –Moving from doing everything yourself to leading your business intentionally.
  • –Building confidence in your ability to navigate uncertainty.
  • –Recognizing when an old approach no longer supports your goals.
9.

Holistic and Values-Aligned Business Growth

Build success that reflects your values and your vision

  • –Defining what sustainable success means to you.
  • –Aligning business decisions with your values and long-term vision.
  • –Establishing boundaries around time, energy, and capacity.
  • –Considering community impact and ethical business practices.
  • –Creating a growth strategy that supports both your livelihood and your purpose.

Holistic growth does not mean avoiding ambition. It means defining growth intentionally and building a business that can support it.

10.

Your 90-Day Business Growth Strategy

Turn what you learn into a practical plan

  • –Complete a Five Senses of Holistic Business audit.
  • –Identify your highest-priority growth opportunities.
  • –Establish specific revenue, marketing, and operational goals.
  • –Decide what to implement first and how to measure progress.
  • –Develop a practical 90-day roadmap for continued business development.

You'll leave with a clearer understanding of your business, a more intentional growth strategy, and a plan to guide your next steps.

Learn From an Entrepreneur Who Has Built, Scaled, and Sustained Businesses

A decade of entrepreneurial experience. Multiple ventures. One mission: helping holistic entrepreneurs build businesses that thrive.

Since 2015, Professor Yvette Brown has been building businesses at the intersection of holistic wellness, media, community engagement, and entrepreneurship. Her work spans digital publishing, live experiences, consumer products, and education, giving her a multifaceted understanding of what it takes to turn an idea into a recognized brand, cultivate an audience, generate revenue, and build a business with lasting impact.

Her entrepreneurial journey began with a digital wellness magazine called The Powerscope, created specifically for Black women. What started as an online publication grew into a media platform attracting tens of thousands of weekly website visits, featuring interviews with notable figures like AJ Johnson and Adjua Styles, and securing red-carpet access to events connected to major television productions. The platform served thousands of women through digital content, editorial features, and magazine sales, while also providing internships to HBCU students, establishing her early expertise in audience development, media visibility, brand positioning, and community-centered marketing.

In 2016, she founded Black Girl Balanced, a self-care experience designed to bring Black women together through wellness, education, and community. Beginning with a single event in Brooklyn that attracted hundreds of attendees, the initiative expanded into a multi-city tour reaching nearly ten cities over the following two years. The tour generated six figures in revenue while bringing together yoga instructors, dance educators, therapists, business leaders, vendors, and wellness practitioners to create meaningful experiences for Black women. Building Black Girl Balanced required more than a compelling idea. It demanded event production, audience development, vendor partnerships, brand expansion, and the ability to translate a mission into a revenue-generating enterprise.

She later founded Tshikovi Tea House, a holistic tea business that grew into a brick-and-mortar storefront in New Jersey and developed a national customer presence. The brand expanded beyond retail into workshops for employees at companies including Google and Salesforce, media features, music video appearances, and celebrity gifting opportunities, including inclusion in gift bags associated with the People's Choice Awards. Through Tshikovi Tea House, she gained firsthand experience in product development, branding, retail operations, customer relationships, public relations, and building a business that serves both its local community and a wider national audience.

Her entrepreneurial work also includes Tshikovi University of Botanical and Healing Arts, an educational institution focused on African herbalism and the healing arts which in less than a year has been able to boast hundreds of students. Building the school has involved developing educational products, cultivating an audience, marketing courses, and creating a business model that brings specialized knowledge directly to students.

Along with her real-life experience, Professor Brown studied business and entrepreneurship at Cornell University, complementing her practical entrepreneurial experience with formal business education.

Across these ventures, her work reflects a consistent ability to identify opportunities, build audiences, develop brands, create community-centered offerings, and turn expertise into products, experiences, and educational businesses.
